Tango 1

Tango means enemy or hostile, this code is generaly use in military. In this "Tango 1" i will try to descripe how I deal with this Tango 1 and the result.

I got this tango 1 when got my order to infiltrate enemy's training camp. My team come as reinforcement for another team that had alredy deploy. I came with 1 spotter and 1 radioman to backup our senior's team that's contains with 2 persons too. Our senior is sniper with anti material type, with 1 junior spotter like us (my team is full junior). After we all rendezvous in checkpoint, the we all together infiltrate the camp.

After in position, I finally understood about this mission after got briefing from the senior. My team come not for backup our senior team, but our senior come here for another mission and to backup us the junior to do our own assigment in this mission... After several hours we all observe the environment, accidently I see my tango 1, but i must not in hurry. I do not want missperson, I still not telling my spotter yet that i had found a Tango, they still busy with their own task.

Close to the last day our observing environment, I tell my Tango 1 to one of my spotter friend (his name is Finn). And he say that this person/target are in his area of operation, so he can help me to gather info and maybe give me a way to finish my job. Then Finn tell Sam (another spotter) about my tango, and they agree to help me, because they are in same operation so they can help in during their own assigment.

Finally, we all come back to our camp in the middle of forest. We all talking about our mission and strategy, from that discussion, i know my senior had finished his operation and this is will be my 2 friend spotter to do the rest of the long mission. 2 my spotter friends now become an infiltrator, they must disguise and blend with another people in enemy town to gather intel for a long time.

The next morning, we all come out from the jungle and do our own job. My senior and the radioman name Jhon comeback to the base with different route. Before leave the camp, I prepare well my rifle, logistic, and camuflage jacket. Our senior already leave the camp first in early morning, so 4 of us now in our own self. And after few click, we all disperse to our own route.

Now Jhon had ready in his checkpoint waiting to pick up, and now Finn and Sam walk out from the jungle to begin their mission and I stil in jungle watch them from a far, now I am alone.

After find spot for make a camp, now I make a camp and temporary base for me to survival. I check my radio for new information from finn and sam or headqaurter. Sometimes I go out to check out enemy camp and waiting fortune to see my tango 1.

During this tango 1 mission, sometimes i got secondary task to do, so i will not bored to the death. Sometimes when I check the camp with my binoculars, I see the tango 1 but i can't read it's pattern so i can't predict it's movement. Finally someday i can contact with my fellow finn and same, they help me to give tango 1's schedule time based on their observe. With this new intel, I can more predict it's move and maybe make a move. So I must not do random observing. I got new data from headquarter that Tango 1 is one of high rank officer in marine team, she is quite and many marines respect her. I think she is worthy opponent and from new intel prediction, this tango rarely come in armored car.

go out to do reconnaissance

After I do some reconnaissance to see the accuracy of schedule, i can fix some schedule to more accurate. For some ocasional meeting outside the schedule, sometimes finn radio me to tell where is the place. Sometimes they send me new data. Then after fix some notes, then I think this is the time to sniping. But before that, I must go in my range of shooting. But the problem is my range of shooting is in enemy's teritory, I must enter their terittory smoothly then find the place to sniping.

Then I contact one of them to help me infiltrate their post guard teritory with their right or fake id. After they agreed to help, now I just waiting them while still observing the target from a far and looking for some crack in their defense to help them easier to help me..

2 month later while do my other assigment...my reinforcement didn't come. There's no news from those two, I just wonder what they do, what I know is that 2 successfully infiltrate and become more close to their target and..of course mine too. I just waiting and trying to do enter their teritorry with my own skill, but their post guard is too tight or I think my skill is not enough. I almost got caught by their guard but finally can escape, but I think this tango 1 already think that maybe someone dangerous try to enter her teritorry. But all I can see, the guard still same day by day, so my fears is not true..

Trying to do infiltrate alone, but failed

2 weeks later, I got some bad news from HQ. But I must ensure the news before I take an action, the Finn contact me.."I had 2 news for you, one is bad news, and another is not too bad. Which one do you prefer?". Then I said " the bad first". He said to me " I think it's good to hear the not bad news first". "Oke then say what you like" I said. "From now, you can relax. There's no needed for you to infiltrate their terittory again". "Why..? Don't you say...." I said. And he replies "Yes....because the bad news. She is already dead, the others snipers take her out..and he is an Ace..". Damn I lost, I must know who this Ace snipers, then I asked Finn, "Do you know who is he?". He said "of course yes, if I don't know, I can't tell you he is an Ace snipers from this region".

After that, I tell the HQ and then I got new data about it. I see my data pad, read it and sit down with trembling hand. "His name is Ezcko, one of Sniper elit in this region" Finn said in our last contact. Yeah Ezcko is an Ace sniper, not just ace but smart too and of course..he had anti material (AM) sniper rifle in his hand. So he can shoot her anytime he like (maybe). But I think I lose with a honor, it's okay for me to lose with him, because he is an ace sniper and not an ordinary snipers.

Then I packed my things, burn the camp, and spurce camp site to hide my trace in this forest. After that, with my sniper rifle in my back.... I walked to rendezvous point for pick up.....to going home.

Me, Sniper Rifle, and Battlefield

As normal sniper that only have 1 ordinary upgraded sniper rifle that legacy from my family, i almost avoid to shoot armored target. Not because i can't shoot them, but i know the ability of my sniper rifle. So i hate armored target to the bone..because i can't shot them.. Okay, let's call it XM2010, it is derived from the M24 Sniper Weapon System and is intended to replace existing M24s.

When i was in training school, almost all my fellow sniper had good sniper rifle and mostly anti material type from the start. I know, the battlefield it self is full of randomness target and enemy, but i had live and train in mostly with that great snipers or anti material type and a battlefield that have a big chance for armored.

The day when we are graduated finally come and we will in our own division of army and do our real assigment. Not all snipers do they real job when they are graduated, some of them had already did it when in school training, so basicly they had better experience then us, the fresh snipers.

We all have our own battlefield, and me..yeah same battlefield for me. Another battlefield that have a big chance there is armored target. In this modern era, there is still a chance they used same method from past war...right, the armor but now in different type. Why i say there is have a big chance armored target? because we are sometimes not targeting an ordinary target, some of them like high official, or leader class. So mostly they (maybe) have their own SPO (Standard Procedure Operation) for their own defense.

How about my operational? mostly i used to be move alone, but sometimes when in training examination mission I use spotter too. My spotter not always same, in different mission or grade, sometimes I used another spotter and mostly do it alone..

This is my introduction. Don't take it seriously (if you really read it), because this story is just metaphore. And of course sorry for my bad english :P
